End of Life for Windows 10 PCs. Action required!

Microsoft has announced that Windows 10 will no longer be supported after October 14, 2025. This leaves unpatched systems open to cyber threats. Hackers love outdated systems, and unsupported Windows 10 machines will become prime targets. So this means users have two choices.

Upgrade to Windows 11 for Free (if hardware allows it)
or
Continue running on Windows 10 and hope nothing goes wrong!

The latter is not an option if you value your data so it’s time to upgrade to Windows 11.

You’ll need a PC that meets the minimum hardware specifications of Windows 11. To find out if your current PCs qualify, download Microsoft’s Health Check app https://aka.ms/GetPCHealthCheckApp

PC hardware continually changes so to upgrade to Windows 11, you’ll need a PC with a least a TPM (Trusted Platform Module) 1.2 to qualify. If you own a PC that was purchased in the last 4 years, chances are good that is will be upgradeable.

You can easily check the model number of your Dell, HP or Lenovo etc on the manufacturer’s support websites to see if a PC/laptop is Windows 11 upgradeable.

What about the no brand/OEM PCs?
Karma Tech has found as a general rule that PCs with an Intel CPU chip of i7/i5 and a speed of 8400 and above have been upgraded successfully to Windows 11 with an update from the motherboard manufacturer.
